Pierce School No. 13 is one of four former grade school buildings located in Davenport, Iowa, United States that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The other three buildings are the former Buchanan School, the former Jackson School and Taylor School. The schools were built in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Pierce School Mall, as the building is now called, contains office and retail space. It is located in the Village of East Davenport.

Architecture

The square block building is two-stories high on a raised basement. In the center of each elevation is a projecting pavilion that is capped with a triangular pediment. It is built with red bricks and the basement is faced with large blocks of dressed limestone. [2] The building features a hipped roof with bracketed eaves. The building has round arch windows on the main floor and rectangular windows on the second floor and on the basement level. A columned canopy covers the main entrance.
